Compact and Smart Power Modules Reduce Cabinet Size by 30% !!!

The new Emotron VFX range, available in 160-4,000 kW and 230-690 V, introduces several new frame sizes for high-power drives. Built with 365A Power Electronic Building Blocks (PEBBs), these smart power modules offer a significant boost in power density, providing flexibility and redundancy in their construction. This innovative design allows for a 30% reduction in drive cabinet width, saving valuable space while maintaining high performance.

Efficient and Protective Starts and Stops

The Emotron VFX Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) ensures smooth, efficient starts and stops, protecting your equipment and reducing operational costs. By minimizing start currents, you can use smaller fuses and cables, and lower your energy bills. Torque can also be boosted to handle peak loads at startup. The integrated vector braking system provides quick and controlled stops, enhancing both productivity and safety.

Optimized Operation and Complete Control

With Direct Torque Control, the VFX reacts rapidly to sudden load changes, eliminating disturbances and ensuring smooth operation. The built-in load monitor and unique Load Curve Protection function detect inefficiencies or potential damage immediately. Early warnings and safety stops for over- and underloading allow you to take preventive action before any significant issues arise.

User-Friendly and Reliable Operation

You can set operational parameters in familiar units like m/sec, tons/hour, or cycles/min, making it easier to monitor and control processes. The removable control panel comes with a copy function, enabling quick transfer of settings to other VFX units. Switching between local and remote control is as simple as pressing a button. The VFX also includes built-in programmable logic functions, comparators, and timers, reducing the need for external PLCs or relays.

Available in IP20/21 and IP54 Versions

The Emotron VFX is available in both IP20/21 and IP54 models. The robust metal construction of the IP54 version allows for installation close to the application, saving costs on cabinets and long motor cables. 300-3,000 A units (IP20 modules) are also available in compact CG-designed IP54 cabinets. The IP20/21 series (2.5-365 A) is optimized for control cabinet mounting (IP20) or wall mounting in electrical rooms (IP21).

Simplified Maintenance

In the event of a process issue, the VFX generates a full status report, allowing you to quickly identify and correct the problem. Maintenance is simplified with easy access to mechanical parts and fold-out power modules, ensuring minimal downtime.
